everyone should know about this
This is an important story that needs to be shared with everyone, but especially kids and teens. It's inspiring and educational even though so sad. It's shot so well that you feel that you lived it with these wonderful people. It models how community based civil process works and how commitment to the greater good does make a difference and needs to be a stronger movement by more people.
watch this
really good movie for teens thru adult. my students couldn't believe that is how things can get and really started to pay attention when all the hollywoods showed up. :)
Inspiring and heart breaking
Save the Farm showed a genuine and candid glimpse into the lives of a few of the 350 families cultivating an urban farm in the middle of South Central Los Angeles, the largest urban farm in the United States. The use of personal interviews, historical information and visuals was inspiring and heartbreaking as the producers wind us through the tenacious and gritty attempt (which ultimately fails) by these families to retain the right to farm in order to feed their families and supplement their income in a way that nourished themselves and the community.
