Pillow Talk [Blu-ray]

Horribly Screwed-Up DVD Transfer Of A Great Film!
Rating for this movie -- 5 Stars.
Rating for the 2004 DVD version of the film -- 1 Star.

"Pillow Talk" stars Doris Day, Rock Hudson, Tony Randall, and Thelma Ritter. It remains today what it was when released in October of 1959, and that is -- a highly-entertaining and well-acted romantic comedy.

The film was re-released on DVD-Video by Universal Studios on April 6th, 2004. This newer version has been enhanced for 16x9 widescreen TVs, and the anamorphic enhancement has helped in many places. However, the picture quality here does seem to be a bit of a "hit and miss" proposition. Several portions of the movie still look rather crummy (artifact-wise), exhibiting obvious dirt speckles and "noise". The opening titles sequence is peppered with dirt and artifacts galore, as are a few other parts of the film, particularly ALL of the "split screen" scenes. For some reason, it seems that these "split screen" shots could not be cleaned-up nearly as much as the...

5 Stars For The Movie- 1 Star For the DVD Version
Doris Day and Rock Hudson are perhaps the best duo in movie history. Pillow Talk is one of the most clever comedies ever made. This film is about a painful reality in the 50's- party lines. When Jan Morrow wants to use her phone, she must first listen to her other "party" Brad Allen romance the women. She finally works out a deal with him to each have a thirty minute slot where they can make calls, but selfish Brad doesn't adhere to the rules at all! Brad accidentally meets the other end of his party line at a restaurant, and makes a quick decision to become someone else. He ultimately romances Jan, while she has no idea that he is her arch enemy. For it's time, Pillow Talk was one of the more risque films, but yet one of the funniest and most romantic ever made.

On that note, I have to say I was so disappointed with this DVD. There are no extras to speak of other than the trailer and some production notes. As successful as the stars of this movie were,...

Pillow Talk
This is probably the most well known pairing of Doris Day and Rock Hudson. A laugh out loud comedy in which Tony Randall and Thelma Ritter also showcase their vast comedic talent. Jan Morrow shares a party line with Brad Allen, which she has tried to put a stop to, but the phone company won't cooperate. She uses it for her work as an interior decorator, while he uses it to seduce a multitude of women thru his song writing. When they meet by accident, he assumes another identity to get close to Jan hoping to deceive her until he has the opportunity to get what he wants. When she becomes wise to his deception, all bets are off!

Face/Off [Blu-ray Steelbook]

Face Off on Blu Ray
Not giving a book report summary of the plot or acting critiques here. Just focusing on the Blu Ray transfer itself. Should you check on any of my reviews, and I hope that you do, that is what you will get, only a discussion of the quality of the transfer.

The video transfer onto Blu Ray, as opposed to the standard def version of Face Off, offers an improvement in both resolution and shadow depth....it is not the best video transfer I have ever seen and there are some scenes that appear soft and perhaps muted via the compression, but never the less, the video transfer to Blu Ray is good. There aren't any hints of video banding, aliasing or artifacts. Some snow or grain can be seen if you look for it but it is not very apparent or in any way distracting.

The audio is the star of this transfer, tho the audio on the Standard Def version was also good. You are offered DTS 5.1 or 5.1 EX. I preferred the DTS audio and, tho it is lossy, the disc is still demo...

Special Features include NO new interviews with Cage or Travolta.....
We already know this is a great action film with superb performances from both Travolta and Cage so I will just comment on the features:

Featurettes includes a decent amount information on all aspects of the script development, making of, locations, casting, set designs, special effects, weapons and the 'mimic' acting strategies for Cage/Travlota playing each other. Also includes 7 deleted scenes, a biography-type feature covering the life and career of director John Woo, and the original theatrical trailer.

The greatest disappointment here is that while several cast/crew members appear in newly filmed interviews, both Travolta and Cage participate only by way of vintage interviews filmed back when the movie was actually being made. You would think they would have been proud enough of this great film to come back to document it for posterity sake...

This DVD is probably worth the upgrade for fans, especially if you can manage to get a few bucks for...

A masterpiece
Face/Off is a spectacular film. It is a definite classic in terms of modern action films. Face/Off, like many action films, has enough explosive action scenes to leave you on the edge of your seat. However, unlike most action films, Face/Off's brilliance is found in its story, its direction, and its acting, not in its action sequences. With superb acting by two very talented actors, Nicholas Cage and John Travolta, the viewer is caught up in the story rather than the action, it almost deserves the category of "action drama." Although, being a John Woo movie, the action sequences are nothing short of spectacular. Face/Off, a combination of great acting, a great story, and well-choreographed action, is a must see for any action lover.

The Jazz Singer [HD]

Classic Movie
I watched this again after remembering it from about 20 years back. It is a classic film which is inspiring and great for the whole family.

Wonderful Experience
Neil Diamond is one of my all time favorite singers. I think it was a great gift for him to put himself out there to do this movie. However, this movie is enjoyable in its own right. It has a sweet but fairly realistic love story. It portrays a young man struggling to define himself between the expectations of his culture and who he yearns and feels driven to be. Then there is the soundtrack! Mr Diamond has some of his best work presented here. I don't remember how many of them made the top of the charts, but several did. I also gave up counting how many times I saw this movie while it was still in the theaters. It's a great pleasure to add it to my personal library.

Neil Diamond
I love Neil Diamond. I love his singing and his acting. Will watch this over and over again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are a Neil Diamond fan you will love the Jazz Singer.

A Portrait of James Dean: Joshua Tree, 1951

A SLOW MOVING BUT BRILLIANT FILM.
There is little to fault with this film.It is beautifully photographed mostly in black and white and the acting and directing are exceptionally good.It won't be to everyone's taste as it is indeed slowly paced. It offers a different perspective of James Dean compared with what we have seen before in other films on Dean. Stay with it and you will be rewarded. A must see. Only one extra-a short film about the childhood of Derek Jarman.

for those who who are willing to search a bit
The reviews on this film seem mixed but I tried it and I found it to be haunting and engaging. This is not a linear narrative but a collage of moments and thoughts that form a picture. You have to be willing to wait and listen and search for the meanings. The cinematography is superb. Dean is less an enigma but a person who made his own way, who constantly searched for an anchor. He was not a na

Chick Flick??? with an Element of Suspense
I'm not so sure you should classify this as a chick flick, even though there seemed to be a lot more females than males at the screening I attended. For me there were enough non-romance scenes to make it a more of a mystery. I can't say a lot about the plot without spoiling it for those who haven't seen it.

The movie runs the course of your basic romance with an unlikely couple who meet and fall for each other in spite of their problems until their relationship takes a major hit due to revelations about a secret past. In fact, threaded throughout the story are short scenes involving a Boston cop obsessed with finding a suspect in an attempted murder. There are a few tense moments of violence and absolute terror, but it's not gratuitous or over done, only enough to reveal the mystery and lead to a satisfying conclusion, (or not). What I liked the most was that, just when I thought the plot had taken its final twist, a letter is opened and read which surprised me all over...

This was one of the best movies I have ever seen.
One day my mom said she wanted to see this. So we went and saw it. It starts out with some mystery. A girl seems to be hiding. From what or whom you are unsure. Then, she finds a place to feel safe and starts to enjoy her new dwellings. Throughout the movie you will learn about what she is afraid of and what happened to finally free her and make her run. Then, there may just be something in the movie that will happen that makes you have this weird feeling in your gut. I will not say anything though.

The chemistry between the actor that plays the father and the actress that plays the girl is amazing. They are so good at playing nervous, anxious people who are falling for one another. You will come to like both of them and hope for good things to happen. There is someone else in the movie as well. A detective/cop. His role in the movie is important.

The kids that play the mans kids are great. They are such good actors. I am proud of them. They never...

Slow at times but ending makes up for it
Safe Haven is a movie about a young woman who is running from her past and lands in Southport, North Carolina where her bond with a widower forces her to confront the dark secret that haunts her.

I know this is based on a novel but I am not familiar with that so I cant say how well it was translated from the book to the movie. I do know that the author played a role as a producer so that should help with following the book.

Thinking this was your typical chick type flick, I wasn't too excited about watching this movie but I decided to give it a chance after hearing good things and see what it was about. The movie at times was a little slow moving but had some beautiful scenic shots of North Carolina. The little girl that played the daughter also was a bright spot as she seemed to bring some cuteness to the movie as well. I felt the "bad guy" (Played by David Lyons) in the movie could have been acted a bit better though and to me was the weak point. I just...

Thrill Hunter (1933)

"That's Buck Crosby, the daredevil. He's doing the lead in my picture."
Here's a sad thing: As the years go on and on, the lesser lights of old Hollywood only get more marginalized or just plain forgotten. I had never heard of Buck Jones - hadn't known he was a popular B-western star - until I read about the infamous fire at the Cocoanut Grove nightclub in 1942. When TCM aired THRILL HUNTER, I tuned in, nursing a mild curiosity about the leading man who was a casualty in the Cocoanut Grove.

It's an atypical oater, and Charles "Buck" Jones plays an atypical cowboy role. This film came out in 1933, a period in which western heroes were always depicted as purehearted and honest. Buck Crosby happens to be brave and he shoots straight and is a natural horseman. He's also a pathological liar. The film opens with Buck's saving a motion picture actress from her runaway horse. Marjorie Lane (Dorothy Revier), the grateful starlet, invites him to dine with her and her film crew and later invites him to come to Hollywood and shoot a film with her...

Great Crimes And Trials Of The 20th Century - Volume 1: Gruesome California

The DVD is mostly American Justice shows, but interesting nonetheless.
This is an interesting DVD in that it is American Justice programs that aired on A & E. The Manson segment, as well as the Ramirez segment, were the more riveting of the programs contained. If you like crime documentaries, this is a nice set of 6 programs that cover the Alcatraz Prison Rebellion, Charles Manson, SLA-Kidnapping of Patty Hearst, Reverend Jim Jones, City Hall Killings (Dan White) and the Night Stalker.

Ong bak 2

Superior To the Original
As much as I enjoyed the original "Ong Bak" (2003), there were moments that felt like it was attempting to mimic big-budget action movies from other parts of the world (e.g., the motorbike chase, which was kinda lame). The script was also a bit bland in places. Still a great action flick, but it left some room for improvement.

Enter "Ong Bak 2", which improves upon its predecessor in every conceivable way. The most obvious enhancements are the cinematography and set designs, which are phenomenal. The highlight sequence in this regard must be the night time dance, which emphasizes golden architecture and beautiful clothing that reminds one of the striking visuals that are showcased in Zhang Yimou's films. All is not so clean, however, because the environments add a significant amount of authenticity with an unending assault of gritty, dirty, primal village imagery amidst the forests of Thailand. One simply cannot overstate the spectacular images presented herein, and many...

Really good for a lazy day!
The movie is good. The action is great.

The action is different than Ong Bak in that they have more film cuts and use many martial arts, but the action is absolutely visually stunning and as usual, Tony Jaa clearly put life and limb on the line for his art.

If you have 10 bucks and have nothing to do, it is a nice treat!

Hopefully the shape of martial arts films to come...
I just picked this movie at random after watching Iriminage on YouTube for an hour and was really happy that I did. Everything about the movie showed a sense of respect for the subject as well as the audience. The story was not overly complicated, so it was easy to understand and follow, but at the same time it was interesting and compelling enough to make me want to keep watching. Considering this is a martial arts film, the acting blew me away. The actors really seemed comfortable with their roles and were natural, making it easy to get into the story. The cinematography was really good and made for an eye catching experience. On top of all of that, the martial arts were truly awesome. Maybe wires were being used in some places, but it wasn't at all obvious if they were, and most of the stunts looked real (no "slap the guy and two seconds later his head jerks sideways" stuff) and some of them even looked painful. I wish they would put up the outtakes on YouTube or somewhere.

Jack Reacher

Not what I expected...Cruise nails it.
Wolverine, the most popular of the X-Men and one of the most popular comic book characters in comic book history is also one of the shortest. According to thirty plus years of continuous publication, Logan - AKA wolverine - is 5'2" tall and somewhere around 200 lbs, with metal infused skeleton and claws, and a back as hairy as a Kodiak bear. When X-Men director Bryan Singer cast a slim 6'3" song-and-dance man named Hugh Jackman to play the short stocky Wolverine, comic book geeks everywhere said "What the f***?"

Now anyone familiar with the Jack Reacher novels written by Lee Child knows that main character of the novels is a 6'5" 250 pound blond haired blue eye bruiser with the face of a professional rugby player. And likewise anyone who read the novels must have said "What the f***?" upon learning that the diminutive Tom Cruise was cast to play Jack Reacher. "He's too small. He's too Pretty." My wife, who's a huge fan of Lee Child's novels, was so irritated with the...

Smart, fun, well-paced detective/actioner, but leave expectations at the door.
The main complaint I heard and read before JACK REACHER ever even hit theatres was from fans of Lee Child's series of books about this film's titular character, and it was always the same complaint: "Tom Cruise is too short! Jack Reacher is 6'5" and is built like a brick outhouse!!" And my response to that was always: "Can you think of an actor who's really good, does action well, has a lot of charisma, and IS ACTUALLY built like that?"

Christopher McQuarrie, the Oscar-Winning screenwriter of Bryan Singer's unforgettable THE USUAL SUSPECTS, and the writer/director of the very forgettable THE WAY OF THE GUN, picked up his pen and got back behind the camera for this potential franchise first outing for the cinematic adventures of Jack Reacher (Cruise), former Army military police investigator. He's, as they say in the film, a ghost. He has no fixed address, no credit cards, no phone number. In fact, the only proof of his existence is a bank account, his military record, and...

Surprisingly good action film...
I'm the first to admit that going into this film I had low expectations. Cruise is a decent enough actor and well suited for the genre, but the plot seemed derivative and overly pedantic, just another flick I'd catch because...well...I'm a dude and the preview mentioned something about guns and explosives.

Surprisingly, the plot played out steadily, not needing to be propped up by a few well placed action sequences. While, if you've seen any movie ever in your life, you'll be able to predict what's going to ultimately happen, "Reacher" maintains a consistent level of intrigue and charm through the whole length of the film. I appreciated that the action scenes actually added to the plot. I was expecting some random "Look how awesome I am at fighting" scenes tossed into the mix, and was happy to see that while those scenes are absolutely in there, they also help move the plot forward. Good thinking, action-movie-maker-people (pretty sure that's the correct technical job...

Fangoria Presents Sin Reaper [HD]

I watched the film to see Lance...
Needless to say, Lance Henriksen was the reason I watched the film. His scenes were very good...as always. I also appreciate the fact that he brought his talent and reputation to a group of filmmakers who are in the early stages. It's not the first--or last--horror film with a thin narrative that I will watch. My only other thought: Sometimes "twists" aren't necessary.

Mark 2: Redemption

More LaHayeian apocalypse
"The Mark 2: Redemption" will be familiar to anyone who's seen other Christian end times movies like "Left Behind", "Apocalypse" or "Moment After". The rapture has just taken place and we get to follow those left behind as the world unites under a charismatic new leader (Antichrist). The bad guys still want the microchip that's implanted in Craig Sheffer's arm. "The Mark: Redemption" is less preachy compared to some other films in this genre and can be enjoyed by non-Christian fans of apocalyptic action movies if they can overlook the occasional religious references. But be prepared for another open ending that lets a lot of loose ends untied to make room for one or more sequels.

The mark 2
I was anxiously awaiting this sequel and was not disappointed. Not a lot of faith based action movies out there so needless to say the men in my family enjoyed it as well.

the end times
Second movie in the series. Neat movie about "marking" everyone with an enbeded chip to track them. Best if you've seen "the Mark" first.

Hayride

I WANT TO BE YOUR SLEDGEHAMMER
This pleasant low budget horror film takes place in LA (Lower Alabama). It has a main plot and a minor subplot. Steven (Jeremy Ivy) brings his girlfriend Amanda (Sherri Eakin) home with him around Halloween. We get to hear and see some of the local flavor as the film builds their character, lines like, "You're not from around here" and "roads that go no where." And of course every proud small town in the south has "the best BBQ in the state." They plan to take Capt. Morgan's Haunted Hayride, a local tradition which features "pitchfork man" based on a local story. Here in Barnwell, we have "rakeman." He doesn't kill people, he just rakes leaves, sort of like Sling-blade, but creepier.

Meanwhile a killer has escaped who might pass for Toj Johnson's son. In the opening scene the killer walks slow dragging an ax. He is able to catch up to a young panicking female at a flat out run...okay she stopped to rest for a second. A pair of odd couple cops are looking for him. Their...

Surprisingly Well-made...
I'm usually not a big fan of horror/slasher movies but this one was surprisingly enjoyable and well-made. I saw a showing of "Hayride" at an actual corn maze in Summerdale, Alabama.
The atmosphere may have added to the spookiness of the film because there were a few moments (I'm not embarrassed to say) I almost jumped out of my seat. The acting was alot better than I expected, especially for a lower budget horror movie. And a pretty awesome twist at the end.
Besides a few moments where the audio is a little bad, it was pretty professionally made. Overall I really enjoyed Hayride! 4 Stars

Local Writer/Director does well with this Movie
As a Movie Lover I'm not a Slasher/Horror Movie Fan. This Movie was good and not to much Blood. Some gory parts but much less than I expected. Had a easy story to follow. Cool it was shot in my hometown of Fairhope, Alabama. For a low budget movie, the Director/Producer Terron R. Parsons (I know his Mom) did a good job. I'd watch it again. I gave it a 5 Star rating because of the talent effort on Terron's behalf, the familiar background areas, the interesting storyline and it kept me glued to my seat. Heard Hayride 2 was now being made, must be because of the twist at the end of Hayride. Watch it for yourself and see what you think. -Signed Movielover supports this local made Film.

It's okay
Wow!, HIT! Entertainment has changed Thomas alot, but the changes they made aren't all that bad. For example, the new theme song at first sounded pretty dumb but it soon grew on me. The only bad thing HIT! added were those ridiculous activites. I think even little kids will get bored of these silly things, they offer no form of actual learning fun and you can get envolved with them that much. Besides those activites, the stories were okay:

1)THOMAS TO THE RESCUE 4/5:

Sir Topham Hatt sends Thomas to help Mavis at the quarry. Thomas is surprised to see Diesel there. Diesel says that Sir Topham Hatt will soon scrap steamies and Thomas begins to worry. But will Thomas help all the diesels when they start breaking down due to bad fuel?

2)HENRY AND THE WISHING TREE 4.5/5:

Henry wishes that he could pull the Express sometime instead of Gordon. The next day, Henry's wish has come true but Gordon ends up in the repair yard and Henry is afraid that it...

For Toddlers its great
If you are a parent looking for a Thomas tape this a good one. Alot of people complained about the music changing or the stories or the new look. Well my 2.5 year old loves this one. He likes the part where they expplain the different sounds that trains make and he likes the games in the middle instead of the regular intermissions and he likes the song at the end. Reading the other reviews it either seems like they were written by adults whom for whatever reason still watch these tapes without children or older children whom the stories might bore them but for a young Thomas fan this is a great DVD.

Barney: Let's Go To The Firehouse

He LOVES this DVD
My 2 1/2 year old will watch this over and over. He sings the songs and talks about the firemen. Most importantly, it teaches him to be cautious of doing things that could cause a fire, like playing with matches.
The DVD will auto play, there is no advertising in the beginning so I don't have to stand for 5 minutes before I can start it, like the Sesame Street ones.
This is nearly an hour long, not 30 minutes like most. For me that's great because I don't have to start it over before he falls asleep. Well worth the price.

3 year old Barney fan
Great movie for entertainment and teaches the kids about fire safety too.

Love it!
This is a good one. It is a whole segment like a movie. Barney and the gang go to the firestation. They ride on a firetruck. They go over fire safety. It's good!

Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Super heroes Unite

An (almost) Feature Length Lego Movie (With Batman!)
My family has enjoyed the previous Lego movie releases for Star Wars, but considering the superhero obsession in our household I had to pick this film up. The movie itself runs 71 minutes, almost a feature length which is quite a bit more than we've gotten with the previous Star Wars specials. The movie begins with Batman and Superman taking on Lex Luthor and flashes back to the "Man of the Year" award ceremony which quickly gets out of control when the Joker leads a group of villains (including the Penquin, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Two-Face and Catwoman) to crash the party. And what better way to stop a villain team up then by getting together a few "super" friends like Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Cyborg and The Flash. There are plenty of other characters that show up along the way as well.

While this film utilizes the spirit of the cut-scenes from LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, it is not...

Never Played the Video Game
My 6 and 7-yr-old were thoroughly entertained, and it was mildly enjoyable for dad to watch too. Whether this was pieced together with video game cut scenes or not, I didn't notice. The computer animation is high quality and voice acting excellent.

Great fun for the kids
If you have played the Lego Batman 2 game, the plot of this movie will be very familiar to you. In fact, its almost as if Traveler's Tales figured they could throw a game together on the cheap by re-using the cut scenes from the video game. Although its not a complete clone of the game, some scenes are re-edited and re-cut so they aren't exact, but they are close enough.

If you are over the age of 12, then there isn't a ton of stuff in this movie to interest you. There are some references to past Batman movie and TV incarnations and the recreation of the 1989 Tim Burton Batman movie opening from LEGO bricks is a classic. My kids watch the scene and yell out "The bat-symbol!" every time they watch it. There is also a scene where Superman hears the Richard Donner Superman film's theme and says "That music sounds familiar." To which Batman replies "I don't listen to music." I just about fell over when I found out that my kids don't instantly equate that tune with...

Superman: Unbound [HD]

Great story, lots of character depth
This review is not on the blu-ray, but on the movie itself. I was lucky enough to see a screening of this at WonderCon along with a panel discussion with some cast and creators.

I wouldn't consider myself a diehard Superman fan, but as a fan of comics and pop culture in general, I really enjoyed this movie. Not much (if any) background is needed to enjoy it. Superman and his cousin Kara (Supergirl) are attacked by a android that turns out to be a scout searching for worlds to collect as specimens. Kara recalls how before she escaped Krypton, a villain known only as Brainiac sent similar androids to attack her hometown and literally "stole" it off the face of the planet. Now that these androids have appeared again, they fear that Metropolis may be Brainiac's next victim. Determined to prevent the past from repeating itself, Superman plans to find Brainiac and stop him before he is able to steal any more worlds.

What follows afterward is an interesting look...

This works for me.
I have never been a Superman fan. I mean, how can you stop or stump a man who can only be halted by a piece of Kyptonite or an occasional red sun appearance? Still, I liked this movie a lot! His battle with Brainiac and the subtle adult actions proven to me that DC is moving closer to the adult level while maintaining it's core fan audience. The explanation of his and Supergirl aging differently...I will admit, my brother had to explain that one to me. I caught on and continued watching. The battle was awesome and I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely watch out for any more releases by DC, because they seem to be moving up in the world, and I'm totally enjoying the ride!

Superman review.
Excellent made action animated movie!! You will not be disappointed. A lot of action and fist fighting from the Man of Steel!

The Condemned (English Subtitled)

This Chiller From Puerto Rico Has Creepiness To Spare, But Doesn't Hold Many Surprises
The new ghost story from director Roberto Busó-García, "The Condemned," creates an extremely eerie mood and holds on to this creepy vibe quite effectively. It has an understated stylishness that really made me want to like the movie more than I did. Ultimately, though, a movie of this sort needs a little mystery. The horrors of "The Condemned" are always very easy to intuit. As the lead character strives to understand the past that is haunting her, there is nothing that we (as the audience) haven't been able to figure out from the introductory scenes. I wanted the awful truth to be just as shocking to us as it is to the movie's heroine! Without this escalating sense of dread, the movie never really goes anywhere. Yes, there is a twist in the climactic moments, but it didn't have the impact that I think was intended. It's like Busó-García was relying on this one moment to elevate the entire film and it doesn't quite accomplish this goal.

The movie...

Suspenseful, Thought-Provoking Ghost Story from Puerto Rico
This suspenseful, eerie and elegant film from Puerto Rico isn't easy to describe but it's well worth the watch. It's scary but not strictly horror, it's profound but not strictly art-house, it's a Puerto Rican film that is only about Puerto Rico in a metaphorical way. This is not your typical haunted house film, the horror isn't obvious to the casual viewer. In a fascinating way, "The Condemned" methodically proves to be a meditation on the curse of people who forgo their individual responsibilities and blame others as a shield.

Interestingly, the film immediately disposes with the traditional "mystery" in genre films: from the beginning we know that there is a dying, celebrated doctor who did terrible things in the past. Some may be turned off by this bold decision: I found it to be the key to the wonders of the film. This isn't a story about what happened, but about the terrible world that was created by the decisions (or lack of decisions) of those involved in or...

Cars 3

Great movie
Hey this was the best movie I've ever seen! All of the bonus features were amazing as well. I love all of the decision makers videos they are gonna be famous soon. Thanks Troma for putting this out.

No.
I am Troma's biggest fan. But I am not YouTube's biggest fan. I didn't know what Cars was when I bought this, but it looked...entertaining. It's only about 40 minutes long, thankfully, because this video is annoying, and to me, it wasn't very funny. It was like a Tim and Eric skit, only...this guy doesn't have the talent that Tim and Eric have, and can't pull it off. Now, I have seen worse, and I am sure there are people who will enjoy it, it just wasn't for me.

Perhaps the greatest movie ever made by men and/or any other mammal
This movie was like Philadelphia and Lethal Weapon teamed up to fight The Passion of the Christ inside a helicopter made of Freejack DVDs. People should buy it and show it at weddings.

I didn't buy this at first because I was of the impression that it was a compilation of water episodes from the other DVDs. We own most, if not all, of the other DVDs and I can't say that I've seen any of the episodes before. They may have been shown on TV, or may have been on the earlier VHS tapes, but nevertheless they were all new to me.

This one is very short at five episodes, not the length of the usual Kipper value packs, and the biggest problem is that Pig and Arnold are missing. Gotta have those pigs!

The five episodes are imaginative as usual, including a talking magic frog and an elephant, plus Kipper does a great Gene Kelly/Mary Poppins impression on an umbrella adventure.

Not the best Kipper to start with, but reasonable entertainment for seasoned veterans.

Very Disappointing!
Our family has all of the Kipper videos and we have always loved them. We were excited to see a new edition but were very disappointed upon reciept when we realized that all but 1 of the stories on this DVD was on previous DVD's. If they are going to do a compilation DVD it should be advertised as such. We felt very cheated since for the money we paid we only got one new episode.

Good, clean fun
I have to say that I enjoy all the Kipper videos and this one is no exception. I have a 3 year old daughter who delights in watching Kipper and Tiger's antics in this particular DVD.

One great thing about Kipper videos is that they aren't full of violence and instead are low-key and show Kipper working out problems or learning new things. That is a rare find in the selection of "children's" videos.
